DSM-V, wat veranderd er?
In 2011 the DSM-V will be introduced. DSM stands for Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. This is the "manual" which psychiatry is based in America. In the Netherlands and most of the western world, the DSM standard.
The DSM-V has some big changes in store. The most important for the ASD world will be that PDD-NOS and Asperger's will no longer be separate diagnosis. These will cease to continue this form. They will continue under the heading of Autism Spectrum Disorder. (As is done in Belgium for some time.)
